The Radiant Roses:  2009-2010 Grand Officers

Mississippi is proud to announce the election and appointments of our 2009-2010 Grand Officers, the Radiant Roses.  In Mississippi, a Rainbow Girl must be a present or past Worthy Advisor in her Assembly to serve as a Grand Floor Officer.  To be elected to the Grand Line, a Rainbow Girl must have served at least one year as a Grand Floor Officer, and must have completed the appropriate steps of her Proficiency.

School of Instruction & Statewide Initiation ~ September 2009

To kick off each year, Mississippi hosts Grandie Camp, an overnight retreat for Grand Officers designed to focus on team building, leadership, and ritual work.  This is the first event of each Grand Assembly Year.  We have sisterhood events, ritual workshops, and team building activities during the day, and we celebrate our sisterhood and our accomplishments together with fun actvities at night. 

For the rest of the Grand Assembly Year, we focus on our Schools of Instruction, Statewide Initiations and presentations to our Sponsoring Orders.  In addition, we assist the Wahabi Shriners with their annual Christmas Party for the children of the Shriners' Children's Hospitals in our area.  This day also plays host to our annual Ornament Swap.  In the spring of each year, we host a brunch to honor our Grand Worthy Advisor and start making plans for Grand Assembly.
